Los Angeles Vision Zero Alliance
In 2015 Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced the city’s Vision Zero initiative, the goal of zero traffic deaths by 2025. The Los Angeles Vision Zero Alliance is a coalition of organizations and families affected by traffic violence, who have come together to work with the City of LA on meeting that goal.
We worked with the founders of the Vision Zero Alliance (LA0) to develop a simple and accessible visual identity based on the idea that “Zero is More”—more birthdays, weddings, holidays, and other life events that people miss out on when they lose their lives prematurely in traffic crashes. The LA0 identity is inclusive of the many of the languages and cultures found in LA — People from all walks of life are affected by traffic violence, and Vision Zero should help everyone equitably.
