LA Compost

LA Compost is a non-profit dedicated to “compost and community”—helping Angelenos compost their food waste locally at parks, community gardens, schools, and neighborhood sites. Since 2016, Place and Page has worked with LA Compost to develop and expand their visual identity, creating accessible educational materials that make complex soil science and composting concepts understandable.

Our work includes illustrated guides for composting education, soil microbial identification materials, and most recently, the design of their Magic Soil Bus—a mobile classroom that brings hands-on composting education directly to schools and community events.
